Liturgical Hints & Ideas:
A creative approach to the organ prelude music today would be the use of a "Triptych" made up of three short chorale preludes, one addressed to each Person of the Holy Trinity - for example: 1. God the Father, Be Our Stay (Paul Manz), 2. Jesus Christ, My Sure Defense (J.S. Bach) 3. O Holy Spirit, Enter In (Sigfrid Karg-Elert). This could be further enhanced by choosing all three from a specific repertoire: German Baroque, French Romantic, American Contemporary.
