Liturgical Hints & Ideas

The Gospel readings for this and the following two Sundays come from Christ's "Farewell Discourse" at the Last Supper, sometimes called The Book of Glory. These offer a masterpiece for meditative reflection. Music for the Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Sundays of Easter can reflect this mystic, contemplative atmosphere — chant, Latin, polyphony; all these are great vehicles for conveying transcendence.
